Axim Sports Stadium to be upgraded to modern standards

The Municipal Chief Executives(MCE) of Nzema East in the Western Region, Hon Frank Okpenyen has assured the youth and the entire people of the Municipality of Government's commitment to raise Axim Sports Stadium popularly known as 'Red Park' to modern standards.


This came to light when the MCE was the guest of honour to a second division football match between Kaiser FC of Awia and Axim United FC on Sunday, May 28, 2017

Before the game, Hon Frank presented two boxes of mineral water and a football to Axim United FC.

Hon Frank encouraged the youth and spectators to rally behind him and NPP Government for the development of sports in the Municipality.

He also used the occasion to expressed his profound appreciation to the youth for their total support they have shown to him since he assume the seat as MCE for the Municipality.

"I pray that Axim United FC will qualify to division one, be united and play as one team", Hon Frank added.

Receiving the items, the patron of Axim United FC, Mr. Arabia thanked the Municipal Chief Executive(MCE) for honouring their invitation and items given.

On the team part, the captain of Axim United FC promised that the team will train hard and play good football to reach Ghana's premier league which, "is their ultimate aim"

At the end of the ninety minutes, the home team, Axim United FC beat the visitors Kaiser FC by a goal to nil, Axim United FC 1-0 Kaiser FC.
