Gyan on target for Al Ahli in Asian Champions League

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan was one of the scorers for Al Ahli who thrashed PFC Lokomotiv 4-0 in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Black Stars skipper found his name on the score sheet with Salmin Khamis, Everton Ribeiro and an own goal by PFC Lokomotiv goalkeeper Mamur Ikramov sending the UAE giants into the last 16.

Ahli for the second year running thus made it to the round of 16 of the Asian Champions League and are on the verge of reaching the finals for the second successive year after losing out on the trophy last year.

Gyan on the evening was inspiring for the former UAE Champion by providing an assist to fetch their first goal from Salmin Khamis.

The Ghanaian international is already discussion a possible contract extension at Al Ahli having joined the Club on loan from Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG.

He has so far scored nine goals this season for Al Ahli.
