Hearts of Oak deputy coach Henry Wellington has dedicated his side’s big win over Asante Kotoko in the first leg of the Ghana @60 anniversary game to head coach, Frank Nuttall.

Nuttall was given a one week break by the Phobians in the wake of the team’s 3-3 stalemate against Bolga All Stars last Wednesday.

Nonetheless, the Scottish gaffer’s absence did not prevent the Phobians from thumping arch rivals Asante Kotoko 3-1 in the first leg of the Ghana @60 anniversary match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

And according to coach Wellington, his boss contributed immensely to the victory over their sworn rivals.

"I will just dedicate this victory to my head coach [Frank Nuttall]," he told reporters after the game,” says Wellington.

"We sat down and I was change my head coach looking for the best for today's game and at last we won.''

"I can't say a particular player was the best, they all did well to earned us this victory."

Goals from Kwame Kizito, Thomas Abbey and Patrick Razak condemned the Porcupine Warriors to their heaviest defeat at the hands of Hearts since 2007.
