Ghana Eagles won 46-5 against Benin Ghana Eagles won 46-5 against Benin

The coach of Benin Rugby team, Kossou Euloge has praised the Eagles of Ghana over what he termed as a ‘very good’ performance by the Ghanaians.

The Eagles of Ghana annihilated their Beninoi counterpart 46-5 in the opening game of the 2017 Rugby African Regional Challenge at the Accra Sports Stadium.

In a display of sportsmanship and maturity, Kossou eulogized the Ghanaian team for their offensive prowess and admitted that his team lost to a more potent team.

“Ghana has a very good team. Their transition from defense to attack is excellent. Their forwards are very good and defensively they are solid".

"We mapped up strategies to stop them but the Ghanaians were too good”, the visibly disappointed Benin coach remarked through an interpreter.

His skipper on the other hand expressed disappointment at how his mates played and hoped that they get a favourable result on Wednesday against Togo who are due to arrive in Ghana on Monday.

Ghana, Benin and Togo are battling for qualification to the next stage of the Rugby Africa Regional Challenge in a round-robin tournament.

Benin will come up against Togo on Wednesday whiles Ghana will have to wait till next Sunday to face its eastern neighbors Togo.
