Officers of Sakumono Keepfit inaugurated

Tema, March 7, GNA - Members of Keep Fit Clubs in the country have been urged to reduce the intake of alcoholic beverages to stay healthy at all times.

Mr Albert Agbozo, Acting Chief Executive of the National Sports Council (NSC) made the call at the inauguration of the executive members of the Sakumono Keep Fit Club at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday. The club has Mr James Agbedor as Chairman, Mr John Yaw Nimo, Vice Chairman, Mr Prince Atsi-Mensah, Secretary, Miss Vivian Nutsugah, Organizing Secretary, Mr Haruna Tahiru, Financial Secretary, Miss Rosalind Yancey, Treasurer and Mr Emmanuel Amoako of the Graphic Communications Group Limited as the Public Relations Officer.

Mr Agbedor urged the club to include volleyball, basketball and lawn tennis in their programmes to attract more people to join.

He called the leaders to encourage their children to also take part in such sporting activities to stay healthy and instill in them a sense of discipline so that they can take over from them when they are old. In a football match to climax the day, Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) Keep Fit Club defeated their Sakumono counterparts 2-0.
