JoeTex targets first league match

Ghana's talented U-23 international, Joetex Frimpong, is confident of playing his first league match for his Nigeria club Enyimba, on Sunday.

Frimpong, who has missed the team's week one and two matches against Shooting Stars and Mighty Jets respectively, believes he will be on duty when the African champions play Kwara United, on Sunday, at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.

"I have resumed training with the other players in the squad, and I am looking forward to playing my first league match this season. I'm ready to play after watching my team-mates beat newly promoted Jets on Wednesday," Frimpong said.

The Ghanaian expressed confidence that Enyimba would have a nice outing both at the domestic and continental scenes.

Frimpong played a key role in Enyimba's success story last year.

He was one of the players rewarded with a brand new KIA motor-car for Enyimba's success in Africa last year.
