Okwahu United settles debt to former coach Sarfo Castro

The GFA Disciplinary Committee acknowledges receipt of a notice of full payment dated April 19, 2017 from Sarfo Castro in respect of the debt Okwawu United owes him.

The GFA Players’ Status Committee in its decision asked Okwawu United to pay an amount of GHc 45,000 representing outstanding salaries and other benefits contained in his contract of employment, which was terminated.

The Disciplinary Committee has taken note of the full settlement.

Consequently, the request brought by the coach for the enforcement of Article 63 of the Disciplinary Code against Okwawu United FC before the Disciplinary Committee is hereby fully discharged by Okwawu United FC.

That Okwawu United FC is hereby fully released from the sanctions threatened under Article 63(2) of the GFA Disciplinary Code in the Decision dated March 28, 2017 and Sarfo Castro and all clubs are hereby estopped from bringing a complaint or protest for payment before the Disciplinary Committee on this same facts against Okwahu United FC in future.
