Former deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Joe Aggrey has intimated that Kwesi Appiah will succeed in his second stint as Black Stars coach.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced the appointment of the 56-year old trainer as the head coach of the Black Stars following weeks of search for a replacement for Israeli coach Avram Grant.

“I think his first outing as the Black Stars coach wasn’t bad, after all the circumstance under which he lost the job were unfortunate,” Aggrey told SportsCrusader.

“You couldn’t blame him for what happened in Brazil because the players were rebellious in demanding for their monies."

“So, I think coming back the second time is good thing for him to redeem himself and tell the whole world that he was wrongly treated and if given the chance will do well and I believe he will succeed,” he told Sports Crusader.

Joe Aggrey served as president of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) from 1985 to 2001.
