No decision has been made on Godwin Attram's Great Olympics future despite reports in Ghana claiming Swedish Tom Marcus Strand has agreed to take over this month.

Attram is under immense pressure to quit following the side's unflattering start to the Premier League.

The ex-Ghana international, who appears to be enjoying the support of the board, knows he must turn things around and fast.

Olympics have struggled on their return to the country's elite division as they are firmly rooted at the bottom of the table, picking a paltry two points from a possible 15.

The side's barren draw at home to West African Football Academy on Sunday has led to a renewed clamour for a change in the technical direction of the team.

Swedish Tom Strand is mooted as the new man expected to take over the mantle though officials have been tight-lipped on the growing reports.

The 35-year-old is understood to be the favourites among suitable candidates being considered for the job.

But a director of the club Fred Pappoe has confirmed no decision has been taken regarding hiring the expatriate.

"There has been no decision to bring Tom Strand even though he has been recommended alongside other coaches," he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM

He further told newsmen after the 0-0 draw against WAFA on Sunday that Attram enjoys the support of the club's top hierarchy.

“I don’t know the basis of the fans who are calling for the blood of the coach.

“We have played very well in all our matches and scored in each of them.

“We don’t have a problem in our strike force despite missing a very key player. WAFA was the first team we couldn’t score against, as we missed a lot of chances and, I know they are working very hard to solve the problem.”

He added: “When people talk, you can talk out emotions and calmness, and you can’t listen to anything and, sometimes, I blame some of you guys (media) you give prominence to some of these loose talks, too much to make it appear as if everything is not well in Olympics.

“Well, for every one supporter who makes such negative comment there are about 20 who will say something different.

Attram is highly respected at the club after he guided the side back to the Premier League.

But he has struggled to assert himself in the elite division, leading to fans agitation for his replacement.
