Abdallah Basit kicked out of Coppa Italia with Carpi

Ghanaian teenager Abdallah Basit wants to forget quickly about his official first team appearance at Carpi which did not go as cherished.

The 17-year-old midfield prodigy was promoted to the Carpi first team from the Primavera squad last.

Manager Fabrizio Castori handed the youngster a place in his squad for the Coppa Italia clash with Perugia on Saturday.

But he did not involve him in the game as Perugia, with ten men, nicked a 2-1 win.

2012 AFCON Ghana defender Masahudu Alhassan was unused by the victors in the clash.
