Thomas Partey named in Atletico Madrid squad for Australia tour

Ghana international Thomas Partey made into Diego Simeone’s 24 man squad that will play some pre-season games in Australia this week.

The 23-year-old played a part in the Rojiblancos season last season with performances in all competitions for the club and is expected to continue his development in the Madrid-based club.

Partey has been linked with some clubs in England who have inquired about his availability, but Simeone wants to keep him as one of the cards that could explode for in the coming season.

Atletico Madrid will play against Tottenham and some other clubs on their tour to Australia.
