Former Black Queens player and FIFA referee Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has been appointed as the head coach for division one side Amidaus Professionals.

Mercy Tagoe who was an assistant to Baba Ali at the Club has now taken up the head Coach position at the lower division side.

Tagoe thus becomes the first female Coach to handle a male team in the country.

The CAF license A certificate holder will be hoping to help the Tema-based Club who are currently 13th in Zone 3 of the Division one League.

The charismatic lady who doubles as a fire officer represented Ghana at the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup in USA.

She also officiated at the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup in China.
