Video: I enjoyed every moment in my career - Paintsil

Ghanaian footballer, John Paintsil, has officially announced his retirement from international football during a press conference today.

The defending legend who had earlier spilled the beans via his social media stated that he enjoyed every moment during his 17-year football career.

"I did enjoy every moment in my career, with my fans and my team mates. It was amazing."

Paintsil added that "hanging my boot" doesn't mean he is out of football but rather looking at coaching as his next career venture.

"Retirement is a normal thing that happens to every footballer. You can't retire from football when you are 50 years old."

John Paintsil believes he has served the nation well with his football career and grateful to God for bringing him this far.

"I've come a long way and I can say I enjoyed every bit of it. I couldn't have asked for more," he said.
