The term of office given to Opoku Nti to oversee the affairs of Asante Kotoko will end this month.

The ‘Lord of the green turf’ was appointed by Manhyia to replace Dr. K K Sarpong, and he chalked success immediately, leading the Porcupine Warriors to win two titles in his first year.

His tenure began not without controversy. The was alleged internal bickering which saw Dr. KK Sarpong, and Nti was similarly accused of dividing the club.

He made the wrong headlines in his second year in office after he asked Didi Dramani to go on ‘accumulated leave’.

In his third season at the club, fans of the club called for his sacking after a horrendous start of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL). He was a whisker away from losing his seat when the board and management met the Life Patron, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II about two months ago.

It is unclear whether Opoku Nti will continue at the this month.
