Alfred Nelson joins Bechem United

Former Liberty Professional captain Alfred Nelson has joined Bechem United until the end of the season, the player has confirmed.

Nelson signed a short-term deal to feature for the Club after returning from Asia.

The player has been on the low after failing to make the Liberty team for the 2015/16 League season.

The hefty defender is however expected to be in action for Bechem United in their midweek fixture against Kotoko.

“I have joined Bechem until the end of the season, it is a short deal, we will decide after the season whether I will stay or leave but for now I am with them and I might be in action against Kotoko tomorrow,” he told Accra-based Happy FM.

The former Ghana U23 center-back has been one of the highly-rated defenders in the Ghana Premier League for the past two seasons.

The former Stade Nyonnais defender was heavily linked with defending Champions Ashanti Gold and Hearts of Oak prior to the start of the season.
