Former Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah has lauded Leicester City trio of Daniel Amartey, Jeffrey Schlupp and Joe Dodoo for their immense contribution to the success story of the East Midlands club in the English Premier League this season.

Leicester City need just a win away from being crowned English champions.
They face Manchester United on Sunday after a remarkable season which has seen them defy all odds to maintain a decent run in the campaign.

The Foxes last Sunday defeated Andre Ayew’s Swansea City 4-0 to move closer to a title dream.

Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports’ Rahman Osman, the former Fenerbahce mid fielder did not mince words on his joy for the three Ghanaians, who are just a game away from making history in the English Premier League.

“Well, I am really impressed about our players out there especially in England and they are making us proud.

“We have five players in England and it’s very exciting when you turn on your TV during the weekend and see players you have played with and Ghanaians performing in the Premier league.

“On the boys at Leicester I believe Schlupp is one of the key players for the team and I’m saying that because he got injured, went out for some month and came back with three games to the end of the season and the coach started him on Sunday. So that shows you how important he is to the team.

“For Amartey, I am so happy for him because you join a team like Leicester a couple of months ago and you are going to win a trophy.

“Leicester is not like Chelsea, Manchester United or Barcelona who can guarantee you trophies but this is Leicester and I think these things happen in life once in a million.”
