Ghana’s sole representative in Africa, Medeama SC, will today know their next opponent in the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Takwa-based Club qualified to the Play-off round after eliminating Sudanese Club Al Ahly Shendi 2-0 on aggregate.

The Ghanaian Super Cup Champions will need to wait until the end of the day to know their next opponent in the competition.

Medeama will be paired with one of the teams eliminated from the CAF Champions League competition.

Algeria’s MO Béjaïa, TP Mazembe from Congo, Al-Ahli Tripoli of Libya and Malian giants Stade Malien are all potential opponents for the Ghanaian side.

The Mauves could also face a test from the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa, Al-Merrikh of Sudane, Tanzania’s Young Africans and former Champions Étoile du Sahel also from Tunisia.

The draw will come off at the CAF head quarters in Egypt later in the day.

Coach Tom Strand’s side are hoping to qualify for the Group stages of the Caf Confederations Cup for the first time.
