Olympic qualify draw scheduled for tomorrow

Accra, Sept 18, GNA - The draw for the qualifying series in Soccer for men for 20004 Olympic Games scheduled for Athens will take place on Friday, September 19, in Tunis, Tunisia.

Sixteen African countries which have qualified for the second round of the qualifying series will be grouped into four groups and they will play a round robin on home and away basis.

The sixteen teams are made up of Ghana, Nigeria, Mali, Cote d' Ivoire, Senegal, Egypt, Morocco and Cameroon.

The rest are, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zambia, Angola, Uganda, Algeria, DR. Congo and Tunisia.

According to the programme, all the four groups will play their first matches between 24-26 October, while the second matches will be played between 19-21 December, 2003.

The rest of the group matches will start from 2nd-4th January 2004 for the third matches while the fourth matches will be cleared between 22nd and 24th February 2004.

The last two matches will be played on 12th-24th and 26th and 28th of March 2004.

Winners of each of the four groups will qualify for the Games to be held in Athens.
