Ghana winger Andre Ayew received a standing ovation from Swansea City fans following his dominant display against Chelsea in a crucial 1-0 triumph at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

The Ghana vice captain returned from a four week injury lay-off to start for Francesco Guidolin's side and he made an impact.

Gylfi Sigurdsson gave Francesco Guidolin's side the win with 25th minute left-footed volley from 12 yards and the victory has taken Swansea up to the magic 40-point mark as they extend their unbeaten run to three games.

Ayew had missed three of Swansea's previous games before the clash with injury but he returned with a strong performance against the dethroned Premier League champions.

The winger had scored against Chelsea in the opening game of the season at the Stamford Bridge. Though he failed to repeat his scoring performance against the Blues, he was given a standing ovation when he was replaced in 67 minute by Wayne Routledge.
