Accra, April 5, GNA - Ghana's Black Queens have vowed to claim all points at stake in their African Women's Championship (AWC), qualifier against Tunisia, on Wednesday, April 6, in Tunisia.
The Queens, are Tunis for the first leg of the final round and they insist they want to win the match to make the second leg, which will be played in Accra, next Tuesday, a mere formality.
Against the background that, the Queens have been agitating for their bonus arrears accrued from the 2016 All Africa Games, where they won gold, they are bent securing qualification and are distracted by the continuous bonus row.
"We are not happy that the promises made to us about the outstanding bonuses have not been honoured. However our main business now is to qualify for this year's AWC in Cameroon, and nothing can stop us" Mercy Myles, the team captain said.
Since arriving in Tunis last Saturday, the Queens have intensified their training, practising more on set pieces & long range shots, giving a gist of their game plan, as confirmed by head coach, Yussif Basigi who said they are in Tunis to win.
