Assifuah misses out on Swiss cup final

Ghana Youth international Ebenzer Assifuah crushed out of the Switzerland League Cup semi final at home to FC Zurich.

The 20 year old forward spanned the 90 minutes in the Sweizer Pokal semis but was powerless to prevent his side from scoring three goals in front of their own fans.

A brace from Russian international Alexandre Kherzhakov and stunning finish from Olum Bluff booked a final ticket for Zurich at the expense of FC SIon in a heavy 0-3 reverse for the home side.

Assifuah headed into the fixture on the back of his impressive brace over the weekends against Luzern in the Swiss league but was silenced by the resilient visitors in a well deserved heavy away win for the capital based visitors.
