Dauda eyes league title with Kotoko

Asante Kotoko young forward Dauda Mohammed is eyeing the league title with the Porcupine Warriors despite their poor start to the 2015/16 Premier League campaign.

Dauda failed to win a major silverware with the club he joined last season but he propelled his side to finish at the second position last season.

Prior to the start of the ongoing Ghana Premier League, the 18-year old forward suffered an injury which ruled him out of action for a month but he has since then recovered and has started full scale training.

Despite the club’s jerky start to the season following their 2-0 away loss to WAFA in their opening league match, Dauda is still confident that the Reds will win the Ghana Premier League.

“To win the league is our first and topmost mission. There are other competitions on the football calendar like the FA Cup but we are not thinking about that now because it is yet to commence.

The league is in progress and it remains our prime focus,” Dauda told the club’s website.

Kotoko will host Medeama on Sunday and face disappointed CAF Champions League campaigners AshGold three days later in the outstanding second week encounter.
