Duncan name 18-man squad for league opener

Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, David Duncan has named an 18-man squad for the club's league opener against West Africa Football Academy.

The former Hearts of Oak boast of a team with enough depth, and he has named the squad is made up of a mixture of old and new players.

Promising striker Dauda Mohammed who recently trained with the team after suffering an ankle injury in the team’s pre-season win over Bechem United has been dropped.

Theophilus Nyame, Tuffour Frimpongc Ernest Sowah, Bennett Ofori and Halipha Sodogo who were all signed in the offseason has made the squad for the trip.

The team arrived in Accra about 11:30 GMT today and will train at the Tema sports stadium later in the day.

They will hold a training session tomorrow morning before travelling to Sogakope in the evening for the fixture which will be on Saturday at the Sogakope Park.

Goalkeepers:

Eric Ofori Antwi, Felix Annan, Ernest Sowah

Defenders:

Tuffour Frimpong, Atta Kusi, Evans Quao, Ohene Brenya, Amos Frimpong Ahmed Adams, Richard Osei-Agyemang,
