The Ghanaian youngster has outlined the positives from his brief trial at the Swedish outfit

Ghana and Wafa midfielder Samuel Tetteh says his trial with Swedish giants Malmo FF in the United Arab Emirates was a success.

The 19-year-old was invited by Malmo a fortnight ago and was part of the squad that played against Danish side Midtjylland in an international friendly before enjoying several training sessions with the entire first team. He returned to the country last week and is waiting for an official communiqué from Malmo.

“It was a successful moment for me. I learnt a lot of things there and the people were very sociable,” Tetteh told Ghanasportsonline.

“Personally, it was a nice experience [but] for now, I am hoping for the best in my career,” he added.

Goal understands that Malmo were impressed with his trial but the only hindrance to sign the player is his price tag and onward transfer benefits to Wafa when he joins another team in the future.

Tetteh caught the eye of Malmo’s scouts after his spirited performances for Ghana U20 team during the 2015 African Youth Championship and Fifa World Youth Championship.

He made his senior national team debut for Ghana in a 2-0 victory over Comoros in the second round of 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers last year.
