GHALCA executives to meet club chairmen

Accra, Aug 20 GNA - The Executives of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) will meet chairmen of the 16 premier league clubs on Friday August 22 at the Hotel Wangara for a briefing on the latest development on the television rights impasse.

A statement signed by Mr Kudjoe Fianoo, Administrative Secretary of the association said the meeting has become necessary after a meeting with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ministry of Youth, Education and Sports and Management of Crystal Television on their sponsorship package for the league.

The statement urged all chairmen or their accredited representatives to attend the meeting.

Meanwhile GHALCA wishes to remind its members of their Extra-Ordinary Congress scheduled for Thursday, August 28 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The congress will discuss issues like the just ended LG Top Four accounts and proposals for amendment of the GHALCA Constitution among others.

The statement urged all members who are yet to pick their copies of the proposals to do so at the association's secretariat before the congress.
