Nima Khalid pip Mighty Royals 1-0

Nima Khalid Football Club put back the smiles on the faces of their fans when they beat Prampram Mighty Royals 1-0 in their National Division One football league match played at Legon at the weekend.

Khalid, who were beaten 3-0 by Okwawu Youngsters in a similar match at Nkawkaw last week, did not give their opponents any breathing space as they laid siege on their goal area right from kick-off.

They had a golden opportunity to snatch the leader in the 12th minute but right winger Nana Yaw wasted it.

Royals also had a good chance in the 30th minute but their inside left Anum Quansah shot over the bar to end the first half scoreless.

On resumption Khalid redoubled their efforts but they had to wait till the 84th minute before scoring the leader through midfielder Gardiner Bebli.

At Tema, De Gaulle Stars drew 1-1 with league leaders, Power F/C of Electricity Company of Ghana. GRi
