Kotoko to consider Emmanuel Hayford

Asante Kotoko assistant coach Michael Osei says the club would consider signing Emmanuel Hayford as they look to land one more signing before completing their business in the transfer market.

The enterprising midfielder has been sacked by Hearts of Oak over claims indiscipline.

Hayford has refuted this charge but looks poised to move and with a possible reunion with coach David Duncan at Kotoko on the cards.

Assistant coach of the dethroned Premier League champions who have signed several players revealed last week the club was on the lookout for a creative force with the eye for goals.

And with Hayford fitting into these requirements, Osei says the club will ponder over a move for the ex Amidaus Professionals players.

“Hayford is a very good player. I think we all know he is one of the best players in the country,” he told Hot FM.

“Initially he wasn’t in our plans, but it is recently that Hearts of Oak decided to part ways with him, so we will see if there is a way to consider him, we will, because anything can happen.”
