Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah is in line to make a return to first team action at Juventus this weekend having come through training unscathed.

The 27-year-old has endured a stop-start season due to his protracted battle with injury.

But the former Udinese man is now likely to be named in Juventus’ squad for their trip to Carpi this weekend.

Asamoah was left out of the side that trounced Torino on Wednesday to progress in the Coppa Italia.

The Ghana international has not played for his Italian club for three weeks but is set to be unleashed on Carpi this weekend by manager Massimilano Allegro.

Asamoah completed the full training session with the rest of his teammates on Thursday without any complications.

He will be named in the Juventus side that will travel to Carpi once he comes through the final session on Friday.
