Ghana Midfielder Mohammed Fatau has charged players of Almeria to work extra hard in order to propel the club up in the Spanish second-tier standings.

Fatau, who is set for a return to the team this weekend after a month lay off has tasked the club to get their acts together now and start the fight for survival.

Almeria were relegated from the La Liga last season and they have failed to shine in the Liga Adelante as the sit bottom of the table with just 8 points from 10 games.

“Now all we need to do is to defend and attack completely as our position is bad. The coach requires that everyone has to help his partner.” Fatau told his club’s official website

“From now we have to get plugged into the field to get something positive.”

Fatau stressed that action time is now as they have no time to waste with the club deeply rooted in the drop zone.

“It is time to react because the time is short. We cannot keep saying that there is more room to go, it’s now or never because the team is last on the table”.

Fatau joined Almeria on loan from Granada this summer but he can sign for the Rojiblancos permanently in June next year if he excels.
