‘I will thrive on Phobian pressure’

New Accra Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi says he will let the quality of his work do the talking for him after his appointment was generally criticised in the country.

The Japanese has been given the huge job of leading the Phobians on a two-year deal and emerged from a meeting with the club’s board of directors and management to declare he is ready to deal with the pressure of leading the club.

“That is expectation and we will achieve,” he told TV3 Sports.

“I like the pressure. Only the work on the pitch will answer your question. We had a good meeting but all the things we discussed we wil prove on the pitch.”

The choice of Yatsuhashi has been mocked and criticised in several quarters but he says that has not dampened his excitement at landing his first job in Africa.

“I feel very excited. I will let the work I do talk for itself," he added.
