Ghana teenage star Yaw Yeboah has disclosed that he will expect Lille coach Herve Renard to hand him consistent playing time to boost his confidence as the French Ligue 1 builds the momentum.

The versatile Ghana U20 midfielder was introduced in the side’s 1-2 loss at home to giants Marseille and has opined that he will expect to be consistent after expressing joy at his maiden appearance.

The talented former Right To Dream Academy star insisted that he should have been awarded a penalty after he was brought down in the penalty area of Marseille but was quick to say he respects the decision of the center man.

“Now I hope to get some playing time to gain confidence to progress,” Yaw said.

“When I pushed myself in the Marseille defense, late in the game, I felt a hard enough feedback from the defender. I fell, I thought there would be a penalty, but the referee decided otherwise. I respect that decision,” added Yaw Yeboah.

Yaw Yeboah joined Lille from Manchester City and had expected to hit the grounds running, but head coach Herve Renard waited until Sunday to hand him his debut.
