The Premier League has not seen all from Swansea City’s Andre Ayew. The Ghanaian international transferred to the Wales club in the summer transfer window and after his 10th Premier League game [which was against younger brother Jordan Ayew’s Aston Villa], the former Olympique Marseille player has five goals.

Andre Ayew has however pledged to get better at his club as he plays more games in the Premier League to accustom himself.

Andre Ayew was the Swansea City match winner on Saturday in the game against Jordan’s Aston Villa.

The Black Stars vice-captain said after the game:

"I believe if I continue to work hard I can do much more.

“It's about getting to know the league better, getting to know my players better. They are helping me with that and giving me the confidence.

“I'm sure with time I can even get better.”

Andre Ayew’s missed opportunity to give Swansea City a 1-0 lead resulted to Jordan’s first goal for his Aston Villa side on the counter attack.

The elder of the Ayews who played in Saturday’s clash said of his brother’s goal:

“It's good for him, but it's even better for us because we got the three points. I'm happy for him but I'm happier for us.”

Swansea City boss Gary Monk came under criticism prior to the game against Aston Villa for his failed tactics against Stoke City. Monk’s Swansea were also under the radar for failing to win since August and unrest grew among fans of the Welsh club.

“The manager never showed any pressure,” Andre Ayew said of his boss

“He stayed confident and believed in us. We also believe in what we do and believe in what he proposes to us in training.

“We have great confidence in our manager. That wasn't an issue at all. We just wanted to win because we are all like a family.

“When things are difficult in a family you need to stay united and fight together. That's what we did.”
