Oti Akenten tips Joel Fameyeh for greatness

Francis Oti Akenten, Confederation of Africa (CAF) Technical instructor has tipped Joel Fameyeh for greatness after a brilliant start to his national assignment.

The Technical Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) larvished praises on the 18-year old prolific forward who found the back of the net on 28 occasions in the Ghanaian second tier league.

The Asorkor Deportivo forward helped himself to a brace in his maiden call up to the local Black Stars as they limped past their the Elephants of Cote D’ Ivoire in Kumasi over the weekend in the 2016 CHAN qualifiers.

Impressed with the physical attributes of the young goal machine, Oti Akenteng minced no words in glorifying the young chap but was quick to caution him as well.

Speaking exclusively to sports crusader, the CAF technical instructor endorsed the arrival of the boy as the next big gem on the Ghanaian football fraternity.

He said, “The boy is a real potential if he can his time. Probably, he is going to be the next new star on the local scene.

He is very strong and powerful. He fights for every ball and creates spaces with his movement for his colleagues. Also, he has a very good jumping power among other qualities in him.

He needs a good coach to polish him up to realize his full potential. “Any coach who takes over must get in touch with his current club for more briefing”.

Joel Fameyeh has been on the radar of many clubs in the FCPPL after storming the GN Bank Division one league with 28 goals in 24 league outings.

The 18 year will be leading Maxwell Konado’s locally assembled Black Stars to Abidjan for the return leg of the 2016 CHAN qualifier.
