Asante Kotoko's first choice goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has said though the club has signed a contract with Ernest Sowah, he remains confident he will maintain his position in the club.

Sowah, who played Don Bosco in DR Congo, signed a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.

Ofori Antwi will be facing stiff competition from the newly signed goalie, but he told the GNA Sports that ''I heard the news and the club confirmed it. For sure, everyone is good and will be serious but we can all not be in post at the same time even if we all doing very well, but I will always do my best to maintain my position in Kotoko''.

He added that, though he wasn't expecting the move, it's the sole decision of the board and management for the new signing.

The former Black Satellites goalie stressed that he's in good shape, poised and training hard to exhibit sterling performances for the 2015/2016 First Capital Plus Premier League season.

Ofori- Antwi, who guided his side to the finals of the MTN FA Cup last season, looks set to improve on his performance.
