Juventus head Coach Massimiliano Allegri has left out Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah in his team that will take on Genoa later today despite his return to fitness.

Asamoah, who has been out since last November only returned to full scale training earlier in the week.

The 26-year-old injured his knee in a UEFA Champions League game against Olympiakos last season and has since struggled to regain the required fitness level for competitive games.

Juventus head Coach Massimiliano Allegri however confirmed earlier in the week that Asamoah has won the battle to return to field, fueling speculations that the former Udinese man would be in the team for the clash against Genoa.

Allegri has however opted against throwing in the Ghana international straight away.

Juventus have endured a difficult start to life in Serie A this season following an opening day 2-1 defeat to AS Roma and a disappointing 1-1 home drawn game against Chievo on match day two.

They however got a strong 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League in mid-week.
