Ernest Kwabena Asante, 26 year old Ghanaian international who stars for Stabaek FC in the Norwegian league has indicated his readiness to play for the Black Stars of Ghana should he be given a national call up.

The 26 year old winger, who is renowned for his quick feet and lightening pace has attracted attention from big European clubs after he was touted to be the second quickest player in the world by EA Sport's only FIFA approved game, FIFA 16'. Asante who was part of the 2005 under-17 junior team which represented Ghana in Peru is yet to represent his country at the senior level despite his profuse talent.

He has scored an impressive eight league goals from 18 games in 2015 for his side and his manager Bob Bradley thinks he is the best player in his set up.

"No doubt, Ghana winger Ernest Asante has been the best player at Stabaek this season," Bradley said. "He is a fantastic lad and he is very talented, he is so quick on the ball and has lots of football in him," he added.

Speaking exclusively to Sunyani based Suncity radio on its authoritative sports program, Asante indicated his readiness to shine for the Black Stars should Head coach Avram Grant give him the opportunity. "It surprises many why I haven't been given a call to the national team yet but I believe very soon I will be given that opportunity to prove myself," Asante said. "I am very ready to serve my country which I have already served at the junior level", he added.

Asante has had a fantastic 2015 with eight league goals and ten goals in all competitions. With his pace and quick feet, Coach Avram Grant should consider giving him the opportunity to prove himself as he will add a new dimension to the attacking play of the Black Stars.
