Mubarak Wakaso is set to make his Las Palmas debut on Saturday against Celta Vigo after training with the La Liga side on Tuesday.

Las Palmas coach Paco Herrera has been impressed with his condition and fitness level.

Wakaso looks like a player in top form after scoring a late winner for Ghana in their 1-0 win over Rwanda last Saturday in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The midfielder is keen to return to Spanish football after scoring three goals in 25 appearances for Espanyol in the 2012/2013 season.

The 25-year-old is on a season-long loan deal from Russian side Rubin Kazan.

Last term, he was loaned to Scottish side Celtic but could not get the requisite first team matches.
