Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has congratulated his teammates for their tough 1-0 win over Rwanda on Saturday but admits he is sad to have missed out.
The 29-year-old was ruled out of the game due to a knee injury.
The Black Stars however went on to secure the needed win in Kigali courtesy a late penalty from Mubarak Wakaso.
Gyan congratulated his teammates in the end but conceded he felt sad at missing the game.
“Sad to have missed the game but good win and great performance by the lads,” the Shanghai SIPG ace tweeted.
The result means Ghana maintains its winning start in the qualifying series.
The Black Stars will next face Mozambique.
