Sammy Adjei Out For Two Months

Sammy Adjei, Accra Hearts of Oak and National goalkeeper would be out of action for the next two months due to a serious shoulder injury.

Adjei sustained the injury in their third week Kinapharma Premier league match against Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Bolgatanga Park two weeks ago.

The keeper has been diagnosed with a sprain injury on the shoulder and he is currently under medical treatment. Head coach Herbert Addo described the injury as an unfortunate incident when he spoke the GNA Sports adding that his absence would in a way affect the plans of the team as the goalie would be missed.

He however expressed the hope that the two other goalkeepers James Nanor and Ebenezer "Dida" Armah would be able to hold the fort. It would be recalled that Adjei recovered from the Bolgatanga injury but it resurfaced during the teams' warm-up prior to the match against As Aviacao of Angola in the second leg of their preliminary match of the CAF Champions League.
