Ghana defender Awal Mohammed is confident that his decision to move to Morocco will allow his football to flourish after a disappointing spell in Saudi Arabia.
The 27-year-old old signed a three year deal with the Royal Moroccan club after cancelling his contract with Saudi Arabia based Al Shabab.
Awal spent three seasons with South African side Maritzburg where his football sparkled the most.
He was a member of Ghana’s squad which finished second in Equatorial Guinea and even played in the competitions opener against Senegal.
After signing for Raja Casablanca, Awal says he is looking forward to enjoying his football again.
“I have been with Raja for some time now and I am really enjoying every bit of it,” Awal told GHANAsoccernet.com
“The way the team plays suits me and I am very happy that I made the decision to come here.”
“We were in Turkey for preseason and everything came out perfect especially the bonding with my team mates.”
