Asamoah Gyan will be officially unveiled as a player of Shanghai SIPG later today and has been handed the no.35 jersey.

The Black Stars captain signed a two year deal with the Chinese club after moving from Al Ain.

The 29-year-old is unable to secure his preferred no.3 jersey as it is already being used by an existing player.

Gyan has undergone a photo shoot in Shanghai SIPG colours ahead of his official unveiling later today, Wednesday, July 15.

The Black Stars captain completed a mega move to the title-chasing Chinese club late last week from UAE club Al Ain.
