Banahene scores hat-trick on injury return for Ismaily

Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene scored a sensational hat-trick on his return from Injury to help Ismaily to an emphatic 5-1 win over Asyouty Sport on Sunday.

The 26-year-old who has been out for almost a month with a knee injury opened the scoring after just 16 minutes with a header.

Banahene doubled Ismaily’s lead with another header 13 minutes later before completing his hat-trick in the 53rd minute.

Shoukri Nagib and Amr Al Sulaya scored the fourth and fifth respectively before Asyouty Sport pulled one back through Teddy Adams in injury time.

Banahene’s return from injury in the firm he did on Sunday will be a massive delight to the technical staff of Ismaily who have had to do without their lead striker in their last five matches.
