Jones Attuquayefio Hails Golden Boy Razak

Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio, head coach of Dansoman Liberty Professionals has hailed the Golden boy, Abdul Razak for his performance since he took charge as the coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Attuquayefio who watched his boys boweD the forth time to the reds told GNA sports that he thought it prudent to hand over his baton as an ace coach the golden boy.

"Im on my way to retirement and I have the strongest conviction that handing over the baton to Razak would be a step in the right direction" he hinted.

The 2000 CAF coach of the year said in the very near future, he would be getting out of football as a coach and was happy to know that other good coaches like Razak would be there to fill the vacuum that would be created.

Though he was persistent on his retirement, he declined to disclose when the sporting media must expect that when the GNA asked him. Concerning their game against the Porcupine Warriors, the coach said though he was not enthused about the defeat, he was satisfied with the work rate of his boys.

He conceded that the spirit of the Osie Krom lads was over and above that of Liberty which he described as a small club and expressed the hope that the Dansoman club gets the necessary support from lovers of the game in terms of motivation.

"No one can rule out what massive support can do for any team in the world and that is the reason why I always get to the touch line to remind my boys that I am their extra man in times of difficulties" he said.

On Kokoko, the ace coach said the team was currently in terrific form adding "especially when is comes to individual skills"

He said the club has the needed materials and the players to do the job, hence 'Im not surprise about their performance lately. It would be recalled that the Sly Tetteh boys dubbed the "soccer professionals" have lost four times on to the Osei Krom boys.
