Jordan Opoku admits to struggling form at Kotoko

Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku admits he had a slow start to the season.

The 27-year-old is one of the players that struggled for form during the opening stages of the first half of the season.

Opoku was targeted for heavy criticism by the impatient fans of the champions.

The midfielder has only started picking up his form, but admits he had initial struggles.

“It has been a difficult season for me,” he told Sportscrusader.com.

“I personally had some problems with my form but things are beginning to get better.

“We tried to do our best, but it wasn’t enough for the club as we exited from the Champions League.

“But I am hopeful things will get better for the team in the second round of the league.”

Kotoko finished the first half of the season in 5th position under new coach David Duncan.

Mas-Ud Dramani who had led the side to back-to-back titles was sacked after a string of poor results.
