Ayew in awe of Bielsa impact

Ghana forward Andre Ayew has praised the impact of his coach Marcelo Bielsa since taking over at Olympique Marseille.

The eccentric South American has brought verve into Ligue 1 following his masterminding of a top-three position for the giants for most of the season.

Ayew knows that the mentality in the club - who finished sixth last term - has changed dramatically since the tough 59-year old Argentine took over.

“Working with Bielsa is a great thing for any player,” Ayew said. “We learned a lot from him and he’s always pushing us forward.

“Our main objective is to qualify to the UEFA Champions League for the next season but we also have players that can win the league title.”

Olympique Marseille are just two points behind new leaders, Paris St Germain, after losing their spot atop the table after the first half of the season.
