Mugadza sure of dumping Black Queens

Zimbabwe senior women’s team head coach Rosemary Mugadza says they are sure of eliminating Ghana from the All-Africa Games qualifiers.

After guiding the Mighty Warriors to come off with a 1-2 defeat at the hands of the Black Queens in Accra on Saturday, Mugadza has sounded out that Zimbabwe will take full advantage of their away goal and seal qualification at home.

“I don’t think the Black Queens are as solid as everyone predicted them to be. I must say I am happy with my players and the way they managed to respond to the early pressure from Ghana.”

”The goal is very good for us because the team is confident of scoring more in the second leg. We should have picked a point from this game but my players were goal shy today – something I know will not repeat itself in Harare Mugadza told reporters.

Agnes Aduako and Samira Suleman scored for Ghana in either halves while Emmaculate Msipa snatched an important away goal for Zimbabwe from a free-kick.

The second leg is fixed for April 4 in Harare.
