Liberty Professionals beats Dwarfs

Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs, a first division campaigners played above themselves but at the end succumbed 2-0 to Liberty Professionals in a friendly football match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Saturday.

Kicking off under the instruction of Sekondi base class one referee, Stephen Gyan-Otoo, Dwarfs matched their opponent boot for boot and carried the game to their opponent's vital area on several occasions but outside right Mathew Atiogbe and centre forward, Maxwell Kyei failed to utilise the chances that came their way.

Liberty Professionals took over the attack from the 35th minute and a two-man move between Nii Larbie and William Tiero paved the way for centre forward Ablode Morgan to snatch the leader in the 40th minute.

Liberty Professionals made victory certain when a corner kick awarded them was beautifully converted into the net by William Tiero in the 57th minute.

And as if Dwarfs were destined to loose the match, a penalty kick awarded them in the 75th minute was wasted by substitute Felix Sackey.
