Emmanuel Hayford was hiding an injury – Joe Addo

Hearts of Oak Corporate Affairs Manager, Joe Addo has revealed to DailySoccerGhana.com that attacking midfielder, Emmanuel Hayford, had been hiding his ankle injury before he finally aggravated it during a recent Premier League fixture.

The 21-year-old returned to training on Monday after fully recovering from the setback he suffered in the domestic top flight clash with Liberty Professionals on February 4th at the Accra Stadium.

“After talking to the doctor, I was told that he’s had this injury all this while, but he was just playing through because he just wanted to play; so this injury was a blessing in disguise for him, but his comeback is a big boost,” Joe Addo told DailySoccerGhana.com in an exclusive interview.

Hayford is expected to start against Olympique de Ngor when Hearts of Oak face the Senegalese outfit in the CAF Confederations Cup on Sunday.
