Referee Turkson laid to Rest

Burial took place at Anomabu of the late Mr. Joel E. Turkson, Central Regional Chairman of Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) on Saturday.

The late Turkson, ex-FIFA Referee and CAF Instructor, aged 65, died after a protracted illness.

Among the mourners that attended the burial service were representatives of GFA, Referees Association of Ghana (RAG) and staff of Ghana Education Service.

More than forty wreaths were laid at the graveside.

In a tribute, the Referees Association of Ghana described the late Turkson as a hardworking man who devoted his time, money and energy in transforming the Referees Association.

Another tribute paid by the staff of the Central Region Education Office, Cape Coast, described the late Turkson as a devoted worker who put his immense experience as a scholar, trained teacher and a FIFA Referee at the disposal of the region.
