Kotoko name 19-man squad for Algerian adventure

Ghana champions Asante Kotoko has named a 19-man squad for the club’s CAF Champions League second preliminary round first leg match against Algerian outfit Mouloudia Club d’El Eulma this weekend.

Eric Ofori Antwi, who has had a run of games in the first team squad, is included, as are fellow goalkeepers Joseph Addo and Isaac Amoako.

Newly appointed club captain Amos Frimpong is also included, as are the likes of Abeiku Ainooson, Akwasi Acheampong and Atta Kusi amongst others.

Experienced midfield trio Stephen Oduro, Jordan Opoku and Michael Akuffu also make the squad, together with ex-Berekum Chelsea hardman Jackson Owusu.

Ahmed Toure, who has scored three times in the First Capital Plus Premier League this season, is included, together with emerging talent Dauda Mohammed and Obed Owusu.

New signings Emmanuel Clottey and Ahmed Adams were however not included because the club did not register them for the CAF Champions League campaign.
